Planning for our digital assets is crucial in the modern era where so much of our lives are intertwined with online accounts, social media profiles, and digital documents. Failing to manage these assets can lead to complications and potential loss of valuable information after death.
It is important to appoint a digital executor, someone you trust, who will have authority to manage your digital assets after your death. This can be done through a will or a separate document. Your digital executor should be familiar with your digital presence and know how to access your online accounts.
